Indian Street Food is full of colour, flavour which can challenge your taste buds. And one of them is surely the diverse aloo tikki which is made as a chaat or eaten with just tomato sauce or ketchup. Amazing flavours to satisfy your taste palette.
When it comes to Indian food , there is so much to offer.Be it the entrees , main course, desserts or snacks ...so much of variety and flavours. The best cities to have chaat are Mumbai, Calcutta and Delhi. Growing up in Bangalore , you would have not missed the famous chaat street of V.V.Puram. Oh, such a great place to eat street food and so much of innovation happens on one road.I was first introduced to V.V.Puram , by my hubby and quite late in life I suppose. Before that I would eat chaat in 4th Block, where there used to be a small place called ''Sourabh''. Wow !! amazing chaat and I used to never miss having one there.
Anyway this Aloo Tikki Chaat is quite simple to make.
Ingredients & Method
For Aloo Tikkis
Makes about 14 big cutlets
Note: You can also deep fry the cutlets , but I like them this way.
To deep fry , make cornflour paste using water. The paste should be runny and not thick.
Dip the cutlets in the cornflour paste , and then drop it into hot oil.
Fry till golden.
Note : If you are eating the aloo tikki all by itself then you can add chopped coriander and green chilli paste.
For Sweet Chutney
Note : The leftover can be refrigerated. Since the chutney is boiled well, it will not spoil.
For Green Chutney
To assemble the chaat
